Henry James once said that the most beautiful word in the English language is "summer afternoon". OK. That's two words. But you get the idea. We are in the throes of this amazingly enchanting season when temperatures are on the rise and hectic schedules are on the decline. Christmas may be 'the most wonderful time of the year', but surely summer, when we get a chance to kick back a bit, comes in a close second. The clock takes a more leisurely stroll, and perhaps we can shift our priorities. Hopefully, we'll have the occasion to put our toes in the sand or the grass and finally get the opportunity to read that book that's been calling to us. Summer is a marvelous time to take advantage of some great shopping too.
