All the Rage - that's COLOR!

Pick up a fashion magazine... walk into a clothing store... catch a television show... the major fashion trend that is surrounding us this summer season seems to be none other than COLOR!  It's big; it's bold; it's vibrant; it's alive!  Some of us are embracing this phenomenon with open arms while others are having a harder time breaking out of the black/gray/navy wardrobe.

Fashion bloggers are jumping on the bandwagon.  In her editor's letter in the current issue of Lucky magazine, Editor-in-chief, Brandon Holley comments how the women at the FABB (Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference) wore "bright orange prints with crazy-big chunky blue jewelry and bright yellow blazers."  The women said that the magic formula to getting it right is to not worry about it.  Tammie Reed (of talkingwithtami.com) commented:  "I just throw it on and don't think about it - if it clashes that's even better."

The color trend appears prominently in denim jeans.  Here at FL Crooks & Co, we have in our current inventory lovely shades of Fuscia, Coral, Purple, and Aquamarine in the NYDJ (Not Your Daughter's Jeans).  There is also a scrumptious Red in the Beja Flor jean line.

For women's tops, a few Michael Stars tops and Tresics tops can brighten up your wardrobe and add loads of zest.   The colors have never been more stunning and vibrant in these two lines.

Pastels and brights can be effortlessly mixed - pink with hot pink, peach with fuchsia, neon green with pale yellow.  Promoting the wearing of bold color to enhance an outfit, fashion director Anne Keane exclaimed, "It's so much more fun and so much prettier than neutrals with a pastel."

Men have been adding color to their wardrobe's too.  The Tommy Bahama company, long known for their fabrication, are featuring color magnanimously in their shirts and swimwear this season.  While you are checking these out at FL Crooks & Co, also take note of a new line for our store, Johnny-O, and their accent on color in the knit shirts.  In the men's shoe department at FL Crooks & Co, color is featured in the Johnson & Murphy shoes as well as in the Merrell line and the Puma's, too.

And we don't want to leave the kids out.  Come in to FL Crooks & Co for the CROCS for kids that change color in the sunlight - pinks to purples and blues to yellows.  What will they think of next?

Here's wishing you a bright - cheery - happy - and color-filled summer!  Leave no stone unturned - reach for color!!
